Teacher's Qualifications

Possesses a Master Degree or equivalent. If non-master then a certification that the teacher is currently enrolled in Masteral.

Note: One (1) week before the start of the 1st semester AY 2008-2009, you are required to show a proof that you have enrolled in the graduate school for the 1st semester AY 2008-2009. This is one of many CHED requirements. This is also a requirement before you can have a contract with the college. Without a contract, you can no longer work with us.

Teacher's Job Description

The Teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with Agoo Computer College policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.

Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.

Assists in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.

Maintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures.

Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.

• Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.

• Collaborates with peers to enhance the instructional environment.

• Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.

• Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.

• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and schools.

• Assumes responsibility for meeting his/her course and school-wide student performance goals.

• Demonstrates gains in student performance.

• Participates in training and presentations about online teaching.

• Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.
All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established as part of the annual performance planning process or as the result of organizational planning.

• Teaching load for a total of 21 units per semester.

• Possess the ability to instruct and respond in an appropriate manner.

• Evaluate students’ performances at the end of every examinations (1st Major Exams, Midterm Major Exams, 2nd Major Exams, Final Major Exams) and submit to the Assistant Registrar the grade on or before the 2nd day after every major exams.

• Possess the ability to enforce ACC/P disciplinary policies.

• Report to the Guidance Counselor any pertinent questionable behavior regarding any student in your class (es).

• Report to the Guidance Counselor the student who was absent in class.

• Attend the ACC/P Teachers’ Orientation.

• Attend staff meetings.

• Attend a planning day(s) prior to program start-up.

• Attend the Awards / Graduation Programs at the end of the Program.

• Participate in School Projects and Activities.
